Well, I'm 35w5d today. Had my 36 week appointment, cervix checked... I'm 2 cm dilated and doctor put me on pelvic rest and basically told me to expect a baby any day now... My first son was born at 36w4d, and he was totally fine, so I would feel so much better if we could at least make it to that point, but I don't know if we will. I was 2 1/2 cm dilated the morning that my son was born. So I'm sort of worried. I'm worried that he'll be so tiny... or that he'll have this or that problem...

So tell me how your 35-36 weeker did, please... And how much they weighed. I'm definitely a little concerned now. =/

I've never had any experience with this but I want to say I hope baby bakes alittle longer, and if the baby does come early I hope every thing is okay!! Praying for you and LO.

I don't have a premie but I just wanted to say good luck momma! I was dilated for awhile with my son and he was born at 38 weeks. Maybe baby will hang in their and be warm and cozy for a little longer.

My niece was born at 33w 5d. She was 4lbs 8oz. She was put in the NICU because she got jaundice which is quite common in babies born before 37 weeks.

DS1 was born at 35 weeks weighing 5lbs 11oz. No breathing problems or health issues other than his feeding instincts were not developed so he had to be in NICU on IV for a few days. Plus he had jaundice which was treated in 2 days with light therapy. In total 9 days of NICU. He had severe reflux and FTT but once he got on medication he was able to at least start putting weight on.

My daughter was born at 35 +2. Weighed 4 lbs and 12 oz and had no problems at all. She went to the regular nursery, they did monitor her for a while before they brought her to me for the day. She got to come home one day after us, they wanted her to do the billi lights even though her jaundice levels were almost non existent because they didn't want them to rise. She's been home now 3 weeks :) good luck!

My son was born at 36 weeks 2 days. He weighed 5 lbs 14 oz. He was on Cpap, feeding tube, and Iv. He had a small tear in his lung. But we were fortunately released on the 3rd day and he has been doing great ever since.
Some babies are born at this time with no problems and no nicu time, but I hope your LO stays in a few more weeks. Best of luck!

DS was born at 36.6 due to pre e. He weighed 5lbs 8oz. He was in the NICU for 10 days not because he was born at that time though. I carry anti bodies and they transferred to him so he had to get blood transfusions and he had severe jaundice.

I had my oldest at 35w5d, she was 6lbs 5 oz and had no NICU stay whatsoever.
My second was 35w0d, he was 6 lbs even, no NICU stay. He stayed one extra night due to not being able to regulate his temp on his own, but it was just that one extra night.
My third was 37w3d, only because of interventions.
My 4th, born at 34w3d on 5/28/13, was 6lbs7oz, no NICU stay, he was put in the warmer once for his body temp, after that he did just fine. Came home 5/30 and has been doing pretty well ever since. Had a couple of latching issues with breastfeeding...he would do great for a few minutes then let go...we're finally getting the hang of it(lots of patience and not giving up).

My 3rd son was born at 35 wk 2 days and was 6.2 He was also perfect and I was dilated to 3/4 for about a week also. We spent the least amount of time in the hospital with him. (36 hours).

My son was born at 36 weeks due to pre-e. He spent 5 weeks in nicu and had oxygen, iv, ng tube, warmer, etc. He is doing good but he is not gaining weight. He has been home since april 5th and hopefully starts gaining soon. Has to see an ENT as they think he has some sort of airway obstriction. He is 3 months old and still only weighs 8lbs 5oz.

Hoping baby bakes longer!

That's crazy! I hope he catches up! My 36 weeker stopped growing in utero at 31 weeks due to placenta abruption and I was induced at 36 weeks for preeclampsia as well.. he was 4lbs 12oz and perfectly healthy.. either way its better to go as ling as possible

My daughter was born at 35 weeks 1 day. 5 lbs 8 oz & scored a 9/9 on her APGAR. She got to room with me, no NICU time. We stayed two extra days in the billirubin lights due to jaundice. She was perfect, just small! The only thing was that her nervous system wasn't completely developed, so she would twitch & jump a little at first.
