When gathering the items for your bag, did you just put new stuff in it?
ex: using a new bar of body soap, travel sized toothpaste, new toothbrushes etc..

And which do you think is more convenient: a suitcase luggage, or an over-sized bag?

I'm getting to the point that I have to question every decision I make lol

If you have a rolly suitcase, do that. I would buy new stuff if you can that way you don't have to worry about trying to remember last minute to grab everything. But, remember that the hospital will most likely give you toothbrush and toothpaste.

I travel a lot so I just packed my travel items. I had a small roller suitcase both times that had everything in it for me,dh, and baby.

Rolly suitcase or a weekender bag.
I just bought travel sized everything from the bins at Target.
I also bought a pack of "granny panties" and heavy duty pads.

ok, I'm finicky about towels too. I was looking at the "hospital bag" sticky, and someone had posted about bringing receiving blankets and such, will the hospital provide anything for baby outside of diapers?

The hospital will provide everything you need for baby. All I brought was going home outfit, car seat, and a nail file.

Yep, my hospital provided blankets, clothes and hats. You should take some mittens so he/she doesn't scratch their face and socks for the feet. They also provided pads for me.
