Cyclist did nothing wrong. That guy was being a freaking d-bag. Just go around and move on(illegally btw, since it was a solid double striped line). Why stop and harass him and try to make him run into the car and get hurt? Totally uncalled for. Not sure where they are exactly, but here, cyclists have every rights as cars and have to be respected. That guy was just being a jerk.

it's weird that the cyclist is just riding in the middle of the road at first and all of a sudden this guy comes and tries to cut him off. It just seems like something must have led up to this event. I get that we share the road with cyclists, but I've never seen someone ride their bike right down the middle of the road without expecting people in cars behind them to get pissed. Maybe it's different in bigger cities and people are used to it, but we have bike trails here on the road for a reason... cause riding in traffic is dangerous.

He moves to the far right once he realizes that crazy man was behind him wanting to get by. In NYC cyclists have the same rights as vehicles. They are not allowed on side walks. This neighborhood is known for this as I live just moments from where this happened.

I wanted to say that this was a traffic issue and nothing more but I watch and think:

If you said he bumped your car why not emphasize the damage? Then the first thing he says is that you are not allowed here. Then he proceeds to hold him hostage as other members start to swarm, this man would've been beaten had that guy not stepped in.

I think it has to do with the clothes the cyclists wear through the neighborhood.

Very few can truly look at something objectively.

Its the same laws here, but like I said in the big city I think there would be more people used to it happening. No one would ride their bike down the middle of a busy street here even though by law they can.

I saw that he moved over to let the guy by, you hear someone beep behind him but then the driver just cuts him off right away and tries to trap him in for what seems like no reason.. it just seems like we missed something that happened before this event. As for all the tomfoolery afterwards, well thats just guys being a*****es.

What a jerk.

Why does the video have the title saying that a group is restraining the cyclist? The way I saw it, one guy was overstepping boundaries, and the other people stepped in to help the cyclist. That's what I saw. Was I wrong?

From what I perceived, the first guy was the only one physically restraining him, and then a group of Jewish men began to surround both of them, but they didn't say why. They never spoke up one way or another, so you really don't know. You would think if they were all trying to help him, they would have spoken up, but the only one speaking in his defense is the regular clothes guy that pulled him out of there. It did appear to me though that the other Jewish men were surrounding him, seemed like trapping him even more. But can't be sure what their intent were.

Quoting Minion:" It was all very confusing. Is it just me or was that blue car blocking oncoming traffic? And in the line of traffic being blocked, was that an ambulance trying to get by?"

I don't feel like re-watching it, but I didn't notice any ambulance myself. I did see the guy blocking traffic though.
