Currently I have both kiddos in my room, 3 yo sleeps in my bed with me, and 1 yo sleeps in his crib right beside my bed. I have the main floor of a house with an extra bedroom downstairs. Downstairs has an older couple living in it (really sweet people). Their door locks and such.
I have thought about putting my 3 almost 4 yo in the downstairs bedroom, but IDK if I should, I would put the baby monitor in his room and everything, Its a really small room so it would work for him but I would never even get my bed down there lol.
Would you put him downstairs, or leave him in your room?

Is him being in your room cramming your love life?

No, I just feel really terrible that he doesnt have his own special place, and even worse because I know I have the space for it lol

Can you swap with the old couple too so you can be there as well?
Personally I wouldn't be able to be separated from one of my kids like that, unless whoever was downstairs was a family member who would check on my child.

Their suite is too small, its about half of what the upstairs is, and I would never get half of the things in my house down those stairs :(
Maybe Ill just make it a play room for him.

Children are only small and want to be up our butts for a short time......being w/his mommy is the specailist place on earth :) There is no reason he needs to sleep in his own room. Mabe make the extra room downstairs a little playroom for him if you feel he needs a place to retreat and play w/o his sister invading.

I wouldn't be comfortable with my kid being next to a room of strangers (I know you said they seem sweet, but people can be deceiving kwim). But I also would only buy or rent a house with all the bedrooms on the same floor while my kids are young.
