I agree with this. I was really bad about this and never followed up with my OB, but they should be monitoring your HCG levels, OP, to make sure they're decreasing like they should.

just another thing to add i dont think i was that far along though, i been having regular periods for a while now till yesterday where my "bleed" was a week early, my boyfriend still insists that i was pregnant for 12 weeks cause of the amount of symptoms i was experiencing for the last 3 months, i was getting leaking boobs, stomach cramps and twinges, nausea, headaches, bloating out like i was pregnant and alot of other ones which i cant quite remember. it might just be a chemical pregnancy if i am correct with it. i did have spotting a week ago about 2-3 days after i had sex, i dunno if that might be of any help...

No, if you were indeed pregnant, it wasn't a chemical pregnancy. With a chemical pregnancy, an embryo never actually forms. It's only hormones. If you were a week early for your period, then maybe you're just having a really heavy period. Take a pregnancy test. If you were pregnant, and far enough along to see an umbilical cord, it will definitely come up positive.

Maybe I misread something, and I'm really sorry about your loss. But you were having symptoms for that long and didn't test?

pretty much yeah, i said to my boyfriend that i'm getting regular periods and that i didn't want tp test because i know it'll be negative. his female friend which he talks to quite a bit said that i might have been pregnant to cause of me having symptoms. she told me that she had "bleeds" with all 4 of her children and had no symptoms :S not sure what to think of that at first, but then brushed it off thinking thats not what my body will do as i've been pregnant before and had 4 missed periods whilst pregnant with the last 4 miscarriages...

It's early morning but I'm pretty sure u posted u were 3dpo end of may... So how is ur bf getting u were 12 wks along? Anyways, sorry for the loss. I didn't know umbilical cords developed that fast but looks like its 6-12 dys after conception. I agree- follow up w a dr to make sure everything passed and ur levels are dropping. Best of luck.

just for the record if you actually read through the threads i did mention that it was my BOYFRIEND who thought this and not me, i was the one who was actually going by my normal cycles like any woman would, he thought i was 12 weeks cause of the amount of symptoms i had been experiencing. the 3dpo post i posted i while back was when i started spotting VERY light brown yet had no clue why so was just asking advise on what it was...

Have you talked to a doctor about why you keep having miscarriages? They may be able to do something to help. After my 3rd miscarriage, my OB ran testing and we learned that I have MTHFR, a progesterone deficiency and additional clotting factors. When I got pregnant with this one, they put me on progesterone suppositories and Lovenox (blood thinner) injections. I'm 32 weeks.

It is! I had been bleeding for a little over a week (I was 17) and had missed school. Went to see my great grandmother in the hospital when it happened. I felt like I needed to change my pad, passed a huge clot, which I had never done before, and couldn't get up I was bleeding so much.

Hugs to you as well!
