I got the Epidural and pushed only three times. Got me quite a tear, though.

With my son I pushed for 15 minutes, 3-4 pushes. And he was a bigger baby, no tearing or cutting thankfully!

Whoa, you are AMAZING! Props on what you endured for #1 and your huge change with #2! I am hoping to go natural w/ my next and avoid being cut again. Any suggestions?

OP, I pushed for 45min with an epidural and unfortunately still had an episiotomy.

It was all about being able to move around when I needed to, and feeling comfortable during labor (for me was being in my own home.) I tried the shower, rocked on all fours, held onto the couch...whatever worked in the moment.

Quoting TrixieGirl:" I pushed for 3 hours on every contraction with my first and then, after three hours and a vacume assist ... [snip!] ... HR and having a bowel movment and I had to be taken for emergency c section...I wish you the best on your next delivery"

UGH, memories. My first was sunny side up and also had bowel movements. I had him vaginally but he was taken right away by the NICU team. Thankfully he hadn't aspirated it.

48 minutes with my first. One contraction with my second...so probably like one or two minutes, if that. I was already dilated and ready to push when we got to the hospital. 16 minutes from start to finish - checking in until holding her.. It was intense.

2nd: 2 hours but he was stuck in the posterior position and they ended up having to use the vacuum to get him out.
3rd: 20-30 minutes
