My ectopic scare is finally over and now I can be more calm and at ease with this pregnancy. 5.6 weeks with baby #5 and excited!

What made you or your doctor think you were having an ectopic pregnancy?

Thank you!
I had a positive pregnancy test last Wed... Had stabbing like pains in my left tube/ovary last Friday until Tuesday. On Sunday the pains got 10x worse and I went to the ER on Monday. They did a bunch of tests including an ultrasound Tuesday morning. They kept me 24 cruddy poked and prodded hours. They saw nothing in the ultrasound including a gestational sac. Also my Beta's on Tuesday was 1400 and I was retested on Thursday and they have gone up to 2100.. Today's ultrasound showed a tiny gestational sac 5.6weeks :) In the right area and some fluid in my tubes indicating I had a cyst that burst. The pain was really bad it scared me enough to rush into the ER :/ and stabbing pains on one side is a sign. So far things are progressing and we are hoping all goes well :D

That's great news that you're not having an ectopic! Congrats and cheers to a healthy 9 months!

I had an ectopic earlier this year with no signs other than spotting/bleeding. Craptastic.

Yikes I am so sorry :( What a horrible thing to go through. Did you do the meds or surgery? If you don't mind me asking. Hugs to you!

Thank you. I had surgery to remove the embryo at 8 weeks. Luckily my tube was saved. I just did a test the other day that showed my tube is open and not blocked. We're going to be trying again this month with IUI.

Glad to hear your not having an ectopic! I had one in October 2012, and ended up getting the methotrexate shot. I just found out i'm pregnant now, and we were worried about another ectopic, but everything is going good, and even got to hear the heartbeat at 8 weeks! I'm about 9 weeks, and due Jan 12th [: Congratulations on your little blessing!

This exact thing happened to me, i actually didnt see anything in an ultrasound til i was "8 weeks". They kept telling me it was ectopic or i was going to miscarry, even gave me a pill to help me misscarry if it was ectopic. However, My levels kept rising and at 8 weeks there was my little bean!<3

I hate doctors for that. Some babies just don't show up on ultrasound till later. I hate that they have to scare us. I had one doctor last week tell me I will go home and probably bleed and then Friday an ultrasound specialist said my dates and not being able to see more then just a gestational sac at this stage is normal. GAH to some doctors. They really have a nerve :( Congrats on having a healthy bean <3
