So, I left my ex a few months ago. I guess it never clicked that we weren't getting back together because the other day he asked me if there was someone new, or if we were going to "wait this out." I made it clear that I don't want to get back with him. Today, on FB, he writes this:

"I am so un happy right now i dont know what to do i think im going down hill i never felt like this i was so in love and now i see why they say love hurt:-("

He is the type to let his emotions get the best of him and that allows them to ruin good things he has going on in his life. WWYD? Say something? Leave it alone? IDK.

leave it alone.
he may interpret your concern as a move to patch things up.

Leave it alone, let his friends and family respond so he can heal. No matter who you are, break ups hurt, and if he is just now realizing its really happening, it's basically just the beginning for him

Okay. Thanks. I've been done for 2 years, so I guess I wouldn't be the best person to talk to him anyway.

Leave it be. He dug the hole he's in, himself. No? Let him wallow in it. He needs to see that you are gone and the consequences of what he's done. If you just crawl back to him and give him your shoulder to cry on, you are letting him use you as a doormat.... again.
