For the past couple of days when I nurse LO it really tickles. Its strange, I have never had tickling sensation while bf. Its not everytime but pretty often. Has anyone else had this? I guess its better than hurting but it makes it very hard...lol I just want to laugh and pull away

I felt like that at the beginning of thrush on my nipples.

Usually it's just cream for you and a liquid medication for baby. Just wait it out a bit, if breast feeding gets painful or you notice white spots on your baby's tongue that won't wipe off with a wet rag go to the dr ASAP, feeding gets painful once they have those white spots.

My letdown used to hurt now it itches and sometimes tickles. I don't know why but I think its weird. I have been checked too neither DD or I have thrush I think it may just be a different sensation from the letdown other then the pins and needles feeling

Yeah it makes me jump sometimes and squirm. I thought it was DD grabbing me the first few times but then I realized it was my letdown. I would rather the painful one then the itchy one the pain was more bearable then the itch

Im kind of on the fence about which one is worse. I have a very low tolerance for pain but an itch that cant be scratched that turns into a tickle I cant get away from is torture for me.

Yeah I have a really high pain tolerance so the painful letdown never bothered me but the itch just drives me up the wall. We have had a few screaming fits because it became unbearable and I had to unlatch her. Once I get her off the b**b and the milk stops flowing it stops instantly.

That's definitely how the beginning of thrush felt for me. A weird tickling sensation and then it started itching and burning.

Its not really a painful itch and no burning, and its not my nipples that itch. Its more of a feeling like my milk ducts being stimulated if that makes any sense. I have a very sensitive letdown. My nipples are sensitive but not sore or cracked. My concern is with the amount of leaking and the breastpads I may get thrush eventhough I change pads constantly and clean my breasts before and after feeding. Is that how it felt to you, more in your breasts and not your nipples?
