What can I do to relax? Smash Fins ; 2 kids; Denver, Colorado 1289 posts

I have been so completely stressed from work and I need to find a way to just relax. Usually, I would get a bottle of wine, and I wouldn't care about work anymore and be fine the next day.

Now, I cry myself to sleep and the next day I'm even worse at work because I didn't get any sleep, which causes me to cry myself to sleep again.
And then when I finally pull myself together something else happens at work and I'm an emotional wreck again...

Is there anything I can do?

Drink a glass of wine, take a bath, do homemade facials, give yourself a pedicure, make SO give you a massage. Call family and vent? My sister and mom always help me when I'm feeling down. Go out to eat with a friend. :D I have those days at work too, where being nice to people just kills me on the inside and I want to do nothing but go home and sleep. It will pass if you let it.

What's going on at work? Maybe talking about it will help a little. Or you could go for a mani/pedi. I've heard those are relaxing.

Have you tried yoga? It really helps me to relax and zone out all of my problems.

I help manager a bank and they won't let me have the manager title because they don't want to pay me more money. I've worked 6 days this week and I do great on my compliance and audit...
But we have this stupid customer service survey... 5 questions on a scale of 1 - 5 (5 being best) and if you get all 5's and 1 4... It's considered bad customer service... I got 2 of those this week so they keep yelling at me (yes, yelling at me like a little child) because of the customer service survey's when I pretty much run the place without the extra pay.

If work is that intense, I'd consider finding a new job! Crying yourself to sleep at night because of work is crazy!

Listen to some of your favorite music while polishing your resume, and filling out some bank manager applications? Go for a drive to clear your head and find some water to sit by.

I got hired at 6 months pregnant. You're not very far along they wouldn't even know if you didn't tell them, and legally you don't have to inform them of pregnancy.

Yeah... that's the only sucky part. That, and I was uninsured for a month.

I completely understand how you feel! I'm 26 weeks and work 50-60 hours a week doing physical therapy at a hospital, so I'm lifting people and dealing with crabby, old, sick people all day long on top of being extremely understaffed. I usually come home, take a nice long shower and have my bf give me a nice massage. That seems to help most days, but I do still have my days where I want to come home, curl up, and cry myself to sleep I'm so stressed and exhausted! I hope you can find a way to relax! You need your rest right now!
