ok, just had my 3rd son...and the oldest 2 were both circ'd, anywho... this time we decided not to, mainly cause I watched a video how it's done and that did it for me. So is there any special thing I need to do to clean him. I have heard things in the past about retracting to clean, and no I haven't done that. Would like some insight please.

Never retract, just clean it like any other body part

I was always told to just slide the skin down very VERY gently and use a wet wipe and gently pat clean the tip and then let it go. That way you get all the goop and excess pee out of it. You don't retract the foreskin meaning don't pull it down and try and make the head come out. Just ever so lightly and gently

just make sure its clean but never pull back the skin as it can lead to complications later on. my son wasnt circ'd and i just make sure its clean and hes had no problems

NEVER retract it, and just wash it like you wash a finger basically. simple as that. Itll retract on its own when hes a few years old. Also make sure your dr knows not to retract it, some drs have outdated information and think they are suppose to retract the skin (atleast thats what ive been told)

Like the vagina it is a self cleaning organ. You don't have to do anything but wipe it. When he gets older the doctor can teach him how to clean it properly by retracting the skin on his own but that is something you should never have to do

My pedi always tell me to retract it and I'm just like oh? Looks painful. And I never do it.

Yeah your my suppose to, some pedis think your suppose to, the skin is fused to the head of the p***s until a few years of age an then they will retract it themselves, if you retract it prematurely it can cause infection and may possibly lead to him needing to be circumcised.
