My baby shower is next Saturday, the 15th. As a favor, I'm baking homemade oatmeal cookies with a cute little tag and wrapped in cellophane.
My question is, #1 how early is it safe to start baking and wrapping them so they'll still be "good". Meaning not hard and stale.
And #2, how long will the dough stay good in the fridge?
dough I never leave in the fridge more than one day.
Cookies, if you bake them on the soft side 2-3 days.
I would bake Thursday night/Friday morning. I never leave my dough more than a day.
