For my History of I. D. class we need to do a summary of a research article. I am stuck on a subject to look at. The only one I thought about was issues regarding sexuality and intimacy, but I am not finding much on that. Can you help me?

This has to be specifically ID (formerly mental retardation.) and I have where to get them,(they have to be scholarly) just a lack of ideas to search.

Anything you have ever been interested regarding the subject? I have never given a ton of thought to this.

Oh okay.
I am not sure that I would know how to work that for my assignment, but if I ever get in a research mood or stumble upon something I will send it your way.

search social work journals from back in the day.. I did a research project on history of mothers of children with disabilities and found a ton when I did that. Are you looking for peer reviewed journals or anything in general?

Thanks. I ended up finding something on obesity and adults with ID. It was hard cause it had to be peer reviewed and academic journal and after 2000.

I hear ya. Wasn't sure how recent they needed to be, when I did the research it needed to be as old as possible and that was a pain in the butt! So glad I am now onto the mostly interviewing parts of my research :)
