I'm not pregnant. But I was curious if anyone in here has ever had a fourth section, or a VBA3C?

Was recovering rough for either?

I've had three c sections and will have my 4th in late Oct early Nov unless I have to deliver earlier. I was fine and recovery wasn't any worse then any others

I'm fixing to have my 4th c-section in Dec. I'm hoping and praying the pain isn't as bad as after the 3rd.

Dr's do approve VBA3C but it's very rare and it also depends on the time between all the sections.

I tried for a vba3c almost 2 years ago but unfortunately my labor stalled after getting an epidural. My water had been broken for going on 36 hours and I was stuck at 5 centimeters. So I ended up having my fourth c-section. I'm currently 36 weeks and 4 days and going for a vba4c :) As far as risks go, there is more with having a 5th c-section then having a vbac. I'll let you know soon which one worked out though :)

I thought my third was the worst recovery EVER! My g/f just had her fourth section and she said both 3rd and 4th recoveries sucked. I'm not sure I really want to go through that again.

I know a bunch of docs that approve VBA3C too. The closest hospital that DOES approve is about a 2 hour drive from me.

Oh good luck Mama! I hope you get your VBAC!!!!! My g/f had 1 section, then had her 2nd son at home, vaginally, med free :-)

Just wanted to update that I had a successful vba4c last Friday :) My baby came quick though and was delivered at home.

How soon after your last c-section did you have this new baby?

Congrats! It's encouraging to see women not feeling forced into a c-section!
