How old was your baby when you started with Gerber's and infant cereal and all that stage one stuff for babies?

i think she was about 5 or 6 months. but.... everyone here is going to probably tell you to skip it because cereal is unnecessary. talk to your doctor and figure out a good plan for your baby.

I wanted to wait until my son was 6 months. But, he really wanted to eat. He did EXCELLENT with food, even his very first time. We did oatmeal for a few days, and then started with stage one (but we don't use gerber foods, I buy Ella's Kitchen from Target) So, we started food a few days before he turned 4 months.

It's all up to your baby.

ETA: don't force baby to eat, don't put cereal in a bottle (unless directed to do so for reflux).

4 months. My mom didn't give me a choice she started feeding her behind my back so I gave up and let her have food because she seemed happier with it.

Strarted rice cereal at 3 months but switched to oatmeal at 4 months because he didnt really care for rice. And then stage 1 baby food at 4 months.

I did all the baby food crap with my oldest and it was such a pain. So much easier to just dump some food on their tray and let them have at it.

i had another mama tell me out of the 3 kids, only one of hers was BLW and the other two she's had problems with them swallowing foreign objects. and they're picky eaters.

It's usually healthier although my 16 month old who used to eat just about anything basically won't eat anything now. I think it depends in the kid. She has stil swallows a Lego person head and everything goes in the mouth. Although she did learn to use a fork and spoon much earlier than my oldest.
