Last month when my period ended, I started the birth control pill the monday after instead of the sunday after my period. I had unprotected sex twice before that. When I got on the inactive pills, I had a period. It was shorter than usual, but it was heavy. I forgot to get my pills from the pharmacy this cycle, I was supposed to start it last sunday.... I've had unprotected sex since.. Ive been feeling nauseated and havent been able to eat well in the last 3 or 4 days. It might be due to stress... Does this sound like I should bother to take a pregnancy test?

If you've had unprotected sex, no birth control, and have weird symptoms, you should test.

not if you had unprotected sex before ever starting your first pack..the earliest it would have been effective was a week after you started

It is possible you could be pregnant. I'm assuming you were probably having unprotected sex before you were suppose to start your next pack right? I would get a test and try taking it in a week or so.

Even if you had been taking the birth control, it wouldn't have been effective until you we're on it for a month. I would get a test

Even though I got a period when i took the inactive pills? I went to get a dollar store test today, and they were completely out of them. Went to two different dollar stores and nothing... wtf?

Considering it was different from your regular period then I wouldn't be too certain. A lot of women experience bleeding in early pregnancy that they can mistake for a period. Best thing you can do is just test.
