What over the counter medicine can I take to help with nausea/morning sickness? I'm 6w and haven't gotten into a doctor yet, but the nausea is already horrible. I can barely eat, and it's starting to make my job impossible. Nothing is helping anymore.

Unisom +B6. The Unisom has to be the tablet form, NOT gelcaps. Take them both together.

Isn't Unisom used to help you sleep? I need something to use during the day.

It is a sleep aid but I found that after awhile it didn't make me sleepy anymore. You might talk to your doctor about Zofran if it's really bad.

My doc prescribed me Zofran for both of my pregnancies... I took it from 6 weeks til about 7 months with each baby. Both babies were/are fine no problems or anything. Zofran does help with the nausea but doesn't make it totally go away...just enough so you can function. ;)

That's what I need. To be able to function and eat. The problem with Zofran is I need a prescription. I'm going to try to get to my OB that I had with DD, but I might not be able to. If I can't get her for some reason, then I have no idea who I will go to.

My MIL talked to a pharmacist that she's known for years, and she picked me up a couple things that he recommended. She's going to bring them when she drops off DD.

Well, good luck with everything. I know the feeling of that nausea that doesn't quit...it's horrible!

It wouldn't be so bad if I had a desk job, but I don't. I'm a server. Between the constant walking and the smells of all the different foods, there are days that I'm just miserable. I had this job when I was pregnant with DD, so I know I can work through it. It just sucks in the beginning.

I hear ya! I was a casino dealer when I was pregnant and the smoke was ... ugh! I thought I would lose it every day! Good luck though...it won't last forever! :)
