I didn't make it to 38 weeks, so I couldn't tell you. : /

Anyway, are you contracting? Is anything out of the ordinary?

hm... The baby could just be sitting really low and against something or another. I mean, at 38 weeks you are full term and your LO is pretty big in there, so it can get painful.

But, if you're worried, call your on call doctor at your OB or call L&D and ask them what to do. What is the pain like? Pressure? Stabbing? Squeezing?

40 Weeks is full term....37 is to term. A baby is not considered fully developed until at least 39 weeks.

Op, is your stomach tightening? Try getting on all fours and rocking. Maybe lo is on a nerve. Try and drink lots of water,as you could be dehydrated as well . Good luck! I wish you a safe delivery and a happy, healthy baby.

I'm sorry, I did mean term. I'm just up with a really high blood sugar that wont seem to come down, so I'm really out of it. :/ Also, I had a preemie, so personally, I would have been happy with a 38 instead of a 34 weeker. Good thing is, if she has her baby now, she probably wont have many problems with him. ^_^

Thanks for clearing that up though. lol

No worries here. I'm sorry you had to go through the stress of a premie, I couldn't even imagine. It takes a strong woman I'm sure!

I have this, I'm 34 weeks and I went to the hospital last week and they put me on a monitor and I got told I had SPD - symphysis pubis dysfunction. It's where the baby is pushing down on your pelvis and its causing pain. They noticed this because every time the baby was moving I was having really bad pains. The doctor advised me to do pelvic floor exercises, lay in bed with a pillow between my legs, Keep your legs together as much as possible. They have send the results to my midwife who is going to arrange physiotherapy to help me manage the pain. The doctor told me to take paracetamol 4 times a day and take my time.
