I think you both should have equal say in things & that god didn't truly intend anyone to have more power than anyone else.

Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives,

I prayed this verse every single day for years. That I would show my husband respect, thus showing God honor. By doing that, my light would shine & my husband would seek Christ.

It took years, a TON of praying, a ton of patience, and a ton of me shutting my mouth to just let God do HIS thing. But you know what?

I went through that. I paryed a lot that God would guide us in the way that he would want us to go. I went to church and took the LO's without him if he didn't want to go I didn't push him. I tried to be a light unto him. By showing him that I loved him and holding fast to my relegion. He knew I was a Christian when he married me and I knew he was not. We started going out to dinner after Church for family time so he decided he wanted to go to church with us so we could all go out for dinner. He was saved and baptized in April 2011

1st Peter.....3:1? something like that. I'm terrible at memorizing references and stuff. But seriously though, all you can do is honor God. This was a song I listened to a LOT during that time period, too.

I'm not really wanting him to "do" anything, I'm just wanting to know how to handle being married to someone who isn't a Christian, and what to do IF something were to come up.

I know what you're saying. It is nearly impossible to understand if you aren't in that situation...I know, I know.

Honestly, when things came up I prayed that despite my husband's hardness towards God, that God would show our family mercy, soften C's heart, and allow him to make the right decision. I didn't always agree, but it always worked out. God made sure of that, after all....God works all things for the good of those who love Him. Doesn't mean all things go perfectly, but yea.
