We own. We've been living in our house for close to 2 years and love it! The payments are really high but it's all completely brand new so (in theory) we don't have to worry about costs of replacing or fixing appliances and the like. Just have to worry about fixing our fence that gets blown down every year and our roof that it extremely likely to get hail damage (and probably does now but it's not bad).
We own our house, had it built 2 1/2 years ago and absolutely LOVE it! We have already thought of a few things we will change/do differently next time around but it's great for now! We have a 6 stall garage and he still doesn't think it's enough....lol men! :) It's not cheap, payments are $1,450/mo but we pay $2,000 so we can have it pd off in 9 years! I can't wait up be old and not have a mortgage lol

We bought last year. Another 29 years of mortgage payments. Weeeeee
Renting. We pay $625 for a 3 bedroom lower on a duplex. We have a decent sized yard and it's close to everything. It's fairly big too.
We won't be looking at buying until I'm out of school and have found a full time, permanent teaching job.
mines odd ... we rent-to-buy from my parents. Basically they own the house but we pay everything ... and then when we're able to get a mortgage (we're coming out of bankruptcy) they will simply sell it to us for whatever is left on the mortgage.

We are using a property management company since we will be out of state. They take 10% a month.
