How do I get this damn pee smell out of the carpets. It's making me sick. Especially when it gets warmer in here. I've tried carpet cleaner machine pet cleaner, dawn and deodorizer. I don't have the money to get it cleaned professionally.

Baking soda. Though, I've got a carpet cleaner, and it's always been able to get any accidents from LOs out without the smell remaining. What shampoo are you using?

Human? Dog? Cat?
Also, is it a new problem or has it always been around?

Use pine sol. Just a tiny bit in the tank. Or you can use vinegar and water in it. It will smell like vinegar for a little while, but it neutralizes the urine smell and eventually fades itself.
