After how many accidents (potty training) do you just say "f**k it" and wait a couple more weeks before trying again?

So far today we've gone through 4 pairs of undies and two complete outfits. The first two pair of undies and one of the outfits was more of an in the way type deal instead of straight up accident (he was at the potty going but ended up peeing on them anyway). And the third pair of undies was a poop accident. The fourth pair was after his nap (which he stayed dry through the whole two hours!!) he kept saying he didn't need to pee and then he was on his way to the potty and didn't make it in time.

Blah. Does he sound ready? He turned 3 in March so it's not too early but he's just not fully getting it.

Move the potty to whatever room he is in, let him go naked a few days. He will get it down

i would not do this. moving the potty around will confuse him. he wont learn to go to the bathroom that way. the only time we ever moved the potty was at night we put it in the room with my son because we locked the door at night (he shared a room with us.)

it took me 3 days to potty train my son 3 weeks after he turned 2 . your going to have to go threw some accidents , it has to happen for him to learn the signs that he needs to go. no matter if hes already done after an accident take him to the bathroom. you dont want to take the potty out of the bathroom it will only become more confusing for him.

We moved it to the rooms we were in. During the day he was always in the living room and so was his potty. No need to run to the bathroom. He was completely day time potty trained in 3 days. Day 4 we ventured out with no accident.

It was confusing for him I know plenty of people who have done it this way.

Well not sit (he stands, which is how he ended up still peeing on his clothes even though he was peeing into the potty) but yes, I make him at least try to go every 30 minutes.

It sounds like he might not be ready. I would stop and try again next week.

it's too early. boys typically don't train until 3 and a half to four. Just be patient. WHen they are ready... it justs happens. It's so much easier to wait than to deal with potty training.

I let carter go naked, once he got it down that he had to run to the potty, then we put underwear on him. We also moved the potty in the room with him for the first week. He was easy
