How to get things moving faster??? Kristen1225 Due July 8 (girl); Bethel, Ohio 5 posts

I will be 37 weeks on Sunday, and I just went to the doctor yesterday. He was really surprised that with my only being 36 weeks that I was already 1cm dialated. Once he told me this, it just made me want my daughter out sooner. I haven't gotten like any sleep for the last week or two because of contractions. I haven't tried timing them yet, but I would really like to have my daughter sometime within the next 2 weeks. What can I do to get the dialation and what not moving along faster? This is my first pregnancy so I don't really know what I'm doing. Thanks.

Just wait.

You are not even term yet and being 1cm is no indication of when you will go. Enjoy the last bit of pregnancy, you might miss it one day

Nothing will work if your body and baby isn't ready...but my dr suggests sex and walking...lots and lots of both haha.

Wait. Ask this question when you're past 40 weeks if you get there.

My son at 37 weeks was born having breathing issues he needed the extra weeks. He spent two weeks on oxygen and IVs. Just wait

She will come out when she is meant to, be aware once she's out you'll miss her being inside you...so even if it exhausting let her come at her pace

Your doctor was surprised that you were 1CM at 36 weeks? That's nothing lol, I was dilated to 4CM at 35 weeks with my first & still was induced. Dilation means nothing.

All I think about is women going through this ^^^ and some of them wouldn't have to if they'd just have a little patience.

That means nothing I'm almost 39 weeks and I've been dilated to a 1 for over three weeks. I have constant contractions even and they just aren't doing much because he isn't ready to come out. The contractions your feeling may not even be dilating you more. My sister just had her baby at almost 39 weeks and he had to be on oxygen for almost two weeks
