Quoting TrixieGirl:" could it be that he is just a chubby child and his p***s is hidden in the fatty pubic area? What exactly ... [snip!] ... with the circumcision site? Is there infection, bleeding, pain? Have you gone to a urologist to have a specialist look at it?"

My son is chubby & there is no pain or infection. The specialist I had went to told me the DR. that did the circumcision cut too much skin.

My main pediatric doctor told me this. I cant help but to just wonder still especially knowing the specialist said there was too much skin cut.

the too much skin being cut may cause problems as he is older, it can cause painful erections, cracking and bleeding in the skin from being stretched too tight and even a bend in the p***s. I hope your sons can avoid all this, but who knows.

Your son will most likely be fine. DO not worry too much. If you could've seen my sons when he was little you'd think he'd have issues. He doesn't. He did have too much skin taken off but it is fine. (He's 5 now!) DS2 looks like he didn't ahve enough taken off.

For moms with boys like this, is the skin around the tip red?

My sons has always been red, but he says it doesn't hurt. I asked his pedi about it and he said if it doesn't bother him not to worry about it but I've always been slightly concerned.

Yeah sometimes LO's gets red around the tip. I've asked his doctor a few times just to be sure, he looked and said he's fine. I'm not sure why it exactly does it but he doesn't seem bothered.

Sounds like all of what happened to my husband. He ended up needing re-circumcised at 2.5yrs. He had issues growing up...his p***s never stuck out. It got dirty around the fatty part and had to be cleaned and he remembers the infections from it all :(

To say the least, Christopher wasn't circumcised and has had 0 issues. This baby won't be either if it's a boy.

It's called a circumcision adhesion. They're very common. My son had a minor one. No one ever told me to pull the skin back to be sure it doesn't reattach and it did. So, I took him to a urologist and he was able to pop it right apart with his hands (gloved of course), LO whined a bit but, nothing to terrible. Some can get bad and need to be re-circ'd but, maybe not. Try a urologist.

I took a look at my son's one day and it just seemed that he had no 'ridge' between the head and shaft. You can TRY in a warm bath to pop it yourself, but, I was too afraid to. My son didn't bleed or anything, it was just red.

There's no way I would be able to put that skin back its already fully attached, But I will definitely look into this. Thanks!
