Does anyone have any fun hands-on ideas for learning to recognize numbers and for learning letter sounds/ phonics rules? Numbers 1-20. Also, anything more fun than writing letters/numbers, but will still help him get the motions down? DS is exceptionally bright, but has a hard time paying attention when I try to sit him down & explain things to him! ...We're both beginning to lose our patience :? TIA

Pinterest is a good idea :) I don't have a lot of money to spend on new supplies right now, though! I'll check it out, though!!

My 5 and almost 4 year old like abcmouse.com. We do all kinds of things, like drawing outside with chalk, putting some rice in a baking pan, so they can write numbers/letters with their fingers, etc.
I definitely agree that you should hit up pinterest too!

Those are some great ideas, thanks! I've really been wanting to try abcmouse. Hopefully we'll get it soon!

My daughter likes beestar.org. This online learning way works very well. Questions are great. They cover many aspects. DD'd rather do 9 hours of beestar than watch 1 minute of TV.
