Okay so we just had our 1st lost tooth in our family & hence the tooth fairy was coming. Firstly let me say that my 6 yr old & I talked quite a while back & already established he does nto believe in any of these things, but he also doesn't want to skip them, so he'd like us to act like they are true...lol So, for instance he insists on seeing Santa & telling Santa what he wants & all of that although he told me he doesn't believe. He said "It is a really beautiful make believe"...

So anyway - Dh & I disagreed on the issue of how much the tooth fairy is supposed to leave. Is there a standard today? Dh thought #1 was good because it what he got. I got 25 cents & I thought, due to inflation, that $5 was good. Dh thought $5 was outrageous. LOL

In the end I left a $5...but what do you do??? What did you get?

She gets a gold dollar and 4 quarters. The gold ones are to save, the quarters are hers to spend or save as she wishes.

I don't remember and DD isn't old enough yet, but I'd probably leave $1. Maybe more depending on which tooth is lost.

I can't remember what I got, but tash has received $5 for each tooth. She's lost 3 teeth in the last couple months.

I started out getting like 50 cents and as I got older I got more, but I think the most was ever $2. I see kids on facebook getting 5's and 10's. By the time my kids teeth fall out I'm going to need a 2nd job (and I don't even have a 1st one right now!). lol

I had only gotten one dollar. However this makes me wonder. Do you guys keep your kids teeth?! One day visiting my mother I found all my baby teeth! Was kind of creepy to me. Or is it normal?! Lol

IDK - I don't plan to keep them. This one got swallowed, so it's gone anyway. LOL
