I seem to have issues with certain hamburger meat giving me gas. Wal-mart hamburger seems to do that terribly. Now I don't know which grocery store has the best meat. I have a Food Lion and Bi-lo up here. Good, bad, and ugly on these grocery stores?

I'm not in Charleston but Columbia. I've never had any problems from Food Lion or Bi-Lo with meat. I prefer publix or whole foods though. I've never been a fan of wal-mart meat :(

I love Publix to but it's about an hour or so away. I do go when they have good deals on non-cold/frozen stuff though. I just moved back from Indiana and wal-mart is over an hour away so I've never shopped at Wal-mart for meat.

Yeah for some reason I've just never liked it from Wal-mart. If I had to choose between bi-lo and food lion I usually go with Bi-lo but really never had any bad experiences with either. I think it's just that we went to bi-lo more when I was growing up so it's an unintentional preference.

I buy meat from the commissary. If you are military, that is a great perk.
