Interesting question. I'm not sure. I apparently hemorrhaged during my 1st csect and my vba2c and I still had the pp bleeding for 4wks with my 1st csect, going on week 3 of vaginal del. I agree w APs maybe it depends on person and their body.

They do that with vaginal births too. It's not "helping" but just checking the placement of the uterus, I think.

The nurses told me each time they came in what they were doing and what they were doing it for.

I had a C-section and I bled for six stinkin' weeks after!

That's not why they do it. They're massaging it to prevent it from getting "boggy", which can lead to hemorrhage.

from both my C-sections I bled for 2 weeks then spotted for 5 days
