We used a leash on DD when we went to NYC this past February. It made things much easier on making sure she was with us without having to keep her completely restrained in a stroller or the ergo.

In my opinion they are awesome and work amazing. For those kids and parents that are too short/too tall that can't properly hold their child hand without ripping their arm socket out This gives the child independence without being locked up in a stroller. for the parents that can only afford a single stroller and their toddler is running around it's a good way for that child to not get hit by a car.

I've never used one but I'm pro leash lol I believe some kids do need them and I'd rather see someone have their child on one and let them walk I dependent lay than be yelling at their child for running away or seeing a child run in traffic and get hurt.

I have never used one. But i did buy one it was like a puppy backpack and it had a handle on it. Just never ended up using it. I think they would be good for busy places like disneyland, malls etc. I have nothing terrible to say about them, but i dont think they are amazing either. Just kinda meh! haha. I dont think ill ever use one. But nothing against people who do.

I don't like them but I also only have one child. My FIL said he was going to get one for my MIL because she keeps wandering off haha

Personally I would never use one. I'd feel like I was walking a dog not my child. I don't really care of others want to use them as long as they're doing it the right way. One of my old neighbors used to put one on each twin and tie the leashes together .

Honestly it is a person to person basis. I have two kids who like to run through parking lots and into roads so they are necessary for them. Then I have another child who does well staying with me and he doesn't need it. And I have an infant. But I also use the cute animal backpack ones and don't yank my kids around by them. I just use it to help keep my kids in check.

I'd use one. My Kid likes to run off, climb out of the stroller, etc. If it keeps her safe by me, then so be it.

I don't hate on parents for using them, especially when they have more than one child. Personally though, I wouldn't. I'd rather speak to my child and teach her to hold my hand/hold her stroller when we walk. Plus, people will be judgemental a*****es and hear some rude comments.

I'll use one with DD if I need to. No reason not to if it helps keep your kid safe.

I think they are great and use one occasionally with DS1 if we're somewhere he could run off, get easily lost, or hurt by other people walking around. He's 25 months old and likes his backpack. It's a fuzzy stuffed spider and a leash can clip onto it. He also wears the pack a lot without the leash.

That one looks ugly. I like te ones that are animal back packs. I only used one twice when I had 4 2 yr olds and a 4 yr old at the zoo. They are great for certain occasions.

Sometimes just talking to your child doesn't work. Sometimes you need something to keep them under control while they are learning. And people will always be judgmental and find something to make a rude comment about, so I would rather do what I need to keep my child safe than let the thoughts of others control my parenting.
