My daughter is 2 Turing 3 this July. My husband and I have been blessed with his mom watching our daughter since I went back to work. So day care or pre school was never on our mind. I am not sure how we feel about sending her to preschool daycare when we have her grandma teaching her. My mother in law ran a
Day care for over a decade, so I just don't know about putting her in daycare.

On top of that daycare which has preschool classes is 900 a month and if that is something we do we will not have anymore money to have another baby. We wanted to have another baby soon so they kids would be close In age. But with this dilima we are not sure what to do. Do we put her in school or have another baby?

Thanks for your support.

I'd probably put her in school but that's only because I think it's important for children to be well adjusted going into kindergarten. That's my opinion though, if having a baby is more important than do that, especially if she has good childcare and is learning.

**dilemma

Preschool is the start of formal education. Children who go to preschool statistically are more successful in kindergarten.

And it's *dilemma. :)

... it's just called something different where you live. It's the same principal. Preschool here starts around 3.5-4 years old, the same age you all start kindergarten.

Um, it's the same thing as preschool here. It's the same age group. That's what I'm saying. Formal education for that AGE group is important, I don't care what you call it.

Yes but you said kids who go to early education before kindergarten statistically do better. I was just saying I d not agree with that statement, since most kids here go right to kinder at the age of 3.5 yrs old and do just fine at that level of learning without doing prior education.

Most places kindergarten starts at 5 so here we call it JK and there they call it preschool... Same deal.

Yes I see what you are saying since its the same age as pre-school so it does not make a difference since its early education. But i do see a big difference, since pre-school does not do kindergarten level education at that age, but here it is higher education, so the need for pre-school seems like it is not needed IMO. Kids should beable to function and do well without, atthe age of 5 and 6 if kids here can do it at the age of 3.5.

Um wtf. We all answered you properly, and just let you know it was misspelled. Besides autocorrect usually changes the word, not misspells it ;)

Kindergarten THERE is what PRESCHOOL is HERE. It's the same thing, it's just called something different. Canadian kids aren't smarter than Americans because they start (what YOU call) kindergarten sooner. It's preschool, just has a different name. Damn, you're kinda dense aren't you...

No, I never said Canadian kids were smarter at all, if it sounded that way then sorry.
I just feel sending kids to pre-school does not make kids do better in kindergarten as you claimed thats all. I cant disagree with your statement? Apparently not.
