I agree with that persons comment.

I guess I don't talk to people who speak that way about others. I don't know.

You said fathers had turned into a day of putting down single mothers. Which is laughable. Father's Day is not a day to celebrate single moms, it's a day to celebrate fathers in form of a male.

Sorry but I completely agree with the person that posted that on FB. Fathers day is about men, not women. That's what mothers day is for. It's so annoying when girls get on fb and act like they are dads too. Theyre not, theyre moms. The sooner they realize that the better.

Father's Day is about father's... not about single mothers. Why would you even connect the two? Sorry your kids don't have a dad, I'm sure they'll be fine. You sound hella bitter.

Yeah, sorry I agree with them, being single does not make you entitled to getting to celebrate two holidays.

I have one friend on FB who has 2 kids and is pregnant with her third. All by different dads. She b***hes and complains about how NONE of them are in her kids lives.....i just sit there and smh, really? well maybe you should be a little more careful with who you let in your life and sleep with. One mistake happens, two, okay. but Three?

I Disagree. A woman that takes care of a child by herself is filling the role of two parents therefore making her their mother and their father

Exactly my point. I'm not saying Father's shouldn't get a day. Because the deserving ones should. Especially my husband. But if a mother is doing it on her own, she should get the day as well. This for me also goes to single dads on mothers day!

Typical. Blame the woman. :lol:But that has nothing to do with what I am saying. I get tired of hearing women complain about their baby daddys too. But whether they complain or not, she should be able to celebrate if she wants to. She deserves it!

No she doesnt. She is not filling both roles, the role of a father or a mother is IRREPLACEABLE, to say otherwise is demeaning both roles. A mother who is single and taking it all on herself is a single mother providing for her child as any good mother should. She is not a man, therefore can NEVER be a father. Just because a women is single and maybe has a few more challenges than a non single mother, does not make her more deserving of anything.
