Quoting 6 blessings so far....:" I know a lot of 21yr olds that aren't as mature as most 13yr old....It also stated that the guy has ... [snip!] ... week I did some updos for girls going to their 8th grade dance. Every body thought they were going to their senior prom :/ "

As a rule 21 year olds are more mature than 13 year olds. Not only that but they're interested in completely different things. Or they should be.

And idk, I guess I live in the only place where kids look their age. Idk what to say

Quoting 6 blessings so far....:" Just because the article mentioned the girl telling the parents her age doesn't mean she didn't tell ... [snip!] ... he didn't feel the need to ask. I don't know any guy that would intentionally bring home an underage girl to meet his parents."

He said she told his parents. If he was standing in the room wouldn't that be the same thing as telling him? Come on, if I was getting in trouble for sleeping with an underage kid and she had told my family, including myself, her age that's what I'd say. Not that she told my parents.

Some guys are creeps. I'm sure it's happened before. Maybe his parents asked her age since she looked young. Who knows.

What disability does he have? :? A learning disability? I really don't see what that would have to do with this. And if someone thinks he didn't know what he was doing because he "processes things slower" then wouldn't that also mean the 15 year old didn't know what she was doing? Her brain isn't fully developed yet, she processes things differently than a fully developed adult. So....?

Quoting 6 blessings so far....:" A lot of ''learning disabilities'' can affect a persons ability to process when someone is lying to ... [snip!] ... them and affect their reasoning skills. Learning disabilities aren't always just about reading, writing, or math. "

Which is why I'm curious as to what it is. I'm just saying, if that's how someone is going to rationalize that he essentially was defenseless in this situation because of that then so was she. She doesn't even have a fully developed brain yet, or the ability to process things like an adult.

Quoting 6 blessings so far....:" She knew enough to lie ......even a 5yr old knows that lying is wrong. 15yr old know they shouldn't ... [snip!] ... w/o a license. If they do any of those things there can be legal intervention but they can lie and have sex w/no consequence. "

That's if the guy is telling the truth. He might be. He might not, he definitely has a motive to lie about not knowing what her actual age was. And of course a 15 year old knows it's not okay to lie. The point is if a 30 something year old with a learning disability shouldn't be held accountable because he processes things slower than his peers then neither should the 15 year old. She's less than half his age, she definitely processes things slower and much more different than an adult.

Exactly! They may not have a fully "developed" brain but they still know the difference between right and wrong. And it's not really teaching them anything if they can do shit like this and not have any repercussions for it!

That's exactly what I'm saying, only towards the 30 something year old with a learning disability.
