First dentist appointment? *POLL* Nicola. (Expecting #2) Due May 23; 1 child; Huntsville, AL, United States 4581 posts

Just wondering when you ladies took your LO's to the dentist for the first time?

DS will be one on July 3! He has 9 teeth so far. We brush two times a day and he even likes to help. He still takes a bottle at night (I feed him, he doesn't go to bed with it) but uses sippys during the day.

I have been looking into it a little but it seems there is not a "right" or exact age. Some say when they first get a tooth, some said one year, or when they are two.

Thanks in advance ladies.

It is supposed to be within 6 months of the first tooth appearing, and no later than 12 months

That being said, a lot of parents don't take thier kinds until much later (like 3 and 4). I don't know why they wait but they do

Cora started going at 7 months, and goes every 6 months. It is a good habit to get into and start early.

Wow nobody ever told me that. I was wondering this same thing OP, but I never took him in yet. He'll be 2 next month, but definitely plan on taking him soon now. I figured his pedi would of said when he needs to start going but I guess not
