My 3 year old told me last night he ate a penny. I wasn't sure if he actually had. He's in the funny joke tell stories phase. But this morning he randomly puked all over the couch. What would they do for him if I brought him in? Should I bring him in?? Who eats a penny?!? Ugh!

Not sure about humans, but I saw that pennies made before I think like 1970 or 1980 can make a dog really sick...I would call poison control maybe? Or the doctors office and ask what they'd recommend.

Id take him in just as a precaution. It can start to errode in his intentions if he really did eat it.

I swallowed a quarter when I was little and nothing was done. It came out on it's own. I would call his pediatrician about the puking, though...just in case.

I think the real questions is, why do you have pennies laying around? Canada doesn't have pennies anymore

I ate one too lol. Also ate a small lego when I was about 3. Glad I grew out of that though. My mom called my pediatrician and they said if I was breathing fine then I was ok. Granted that was the early 90s. I'd probably take him in or call and see what they say.

My son swallowed a two pence piece , rushed straight to AAndE , they said if you can swallow something you can pass it naturally , I wouldn't worry to much , my uncle swallowed the face of a watch ( when he was little )

I noticed she's not in Canada, it was my offhand way of asking if there's still pennies in the US lol

Lol...Too many frickin' pennies if you ask me...DS has a couple piggy banks around the house and just the pennies alone probably amount to at least 25 bucks. If not more.

Ohhh lol well never know I've been pretty dense lately...I'd like to blame it on the later stages of pregnancy but...

Yeah we do still have pennies here. I still have Canadian pennies, too. I guess I didn't even realize they got rid of them and I'm 2 blocks from the border.

Lol well the still exist but we can't use them anymore and they stopped making them. If you pay cash they round up or down within the 5cent range!

No wonder places around here won't take Canadian pennies any more. We get a lot of canadian change (pennies quarters, do they have dimes?) since we are 90 minutes from Canada.

Jesus I must really be out of it lately. Nope, had no clue they quit using them. So you guys still have everything but pennies? Dimes, Quarters, Loonies, Toonies, and then bills?
