Has anyone taken this BC and then stopped it to TTC?

Curious how long you were on it before you stopped, and then how long it took to get pregnant once you stopped it?

I'm not TTC so this won't help, but question. I was on Lo Loestrin FE for 4 continuous years and I have been off of it for about 2 and my period is still not back, like I will go months without it. How are your periods with this? I never had my period those 4 years, but I want it to be regular :(

I have not stopped yet but I was going to at the end of this pack. I have been on it about a year. Prior to this, I was on the 30 mg dose for like 14 years and got off a few times to get pregnant.

I have actually been reading bad things about this pill in other forums. It makes me a little nervous for when I do stop. I hope it doesn't take long to get the periods going again. I can tell ya that while on it, I hardly have had a period.

I suppose you could always see your doctor though and get on a pill to jump start it.

Oh ok. And I've been to the doctor and they suggest getting back in it. Really wanted to take a break from BC though. My periods have always been messed up :?

Were any of your breaks because you wanted to TTC?

No, just really freaked me out not having periods for years. I always have a fear that it will take me forever to conceive because of birth control.

Well I had that fear too when I got off bc after like 14 years on it. And then a few months later, BAM! Pregnant. Hopefully that can ease your fears a little.

I was on it for a really short period of time to regulate my cycle after a chemical pregnancy. It made me spot/bleed every day, so I came off of it in the middle of my second pack. I ovulated about 2 weeks later and never got another period, I got pregnant instead :D

Good luck! I hope you are able to get pregnant just as quickly.

Oh wow that is awesome. Thanks for positive news! I know everyone is different, but it's always good to hear positive things! This will be my 3rd baby! Can't wait! Hope it is as easy as it was for you!!

I was on it for about 4 years. And I did have a short period each month- 4-5 days and it was light. I finished my pack sometime in December and we conceived the following March and we found out in April :) So it took 3 months.

That is great. I haven't really had many periods ON the pill. I've probably had a hand full of them in the last year, and they were always light. Does that sound like what you had experienced?

no, I definitely had a period every month when the iron pills would start. It was just shorter and lighter than my normal period (before the pill lol)
