Can someone link me a few chicken and rice recipes that you have USED and LIKE? My mother has Huntington's Disease and I started running the household when I was 9, but I had no one to teach me any "special recipes." She went into a resthome when I was 17, so I feel like I missed out on a lot of the things a mother is supposed to teach her daughter.

I just recently started trying to improve my cooking skills. I tried a chicken and rice recipe with peas. I liked the peas and had no problem with them, but the recipe I tried called for 2 teaspoons of onion soup mix, so the chicken and rice had an onion-y taste that I didn't like. I need some help!

Ok I have a good easy one then lol.
1 can cream of mushroom
1 cup of rice
1lb of ground chicken
lawrys season salt
Brown ground chicken with a few dashes of lawrys then mix in cream of mushroom. Make rice as directed on bag. Mix all of it together and heat it up for a few minutes.

I love it. Serve it with a green veggie.

I have a good one with ham, broccoli, mushrooms, cheese and rice. I know you said chicken, but thought this might be something you may be interested in. I would have to go find it though, its on my other computer, and I am about to go to bed, but if you are interested, I can find it tomorrow for you.

Lemn pepper chicken and rice. You just throw some chicken in a banking dish and sprinkle with lemon pepper seasoning then bake. Cook some rice and throw it together.

Fiesta chicken and rice bake.

Mix one 10 oz can tomato soup with 3/4 cup water and 1 teaspoon chili powder in a glass baking dish. Top with fresh or frozen chicken breast. Sprinkle chili powder on chicken. Top with shredded cheese and bake at 375.

That would be great! I actually cooked two dishes with ham this last week and it was my first time in my LIFE I had ever cooked with ham. Both recipes turned out great!

If we do rice, it's usually a side for something else. Like, I do terryaki chicken with rice. Or cuban pork chops and rice.

But I do have a good one with chicken, broccoli and stuffing.
