Does Cassia Candace flow? Or is it horrible? I love the name Cassia, and we just found out it's a girl- but we already told SO's sister that her middle name would be Candace (after her and SO's mother) because we are making her the godmother.

Also, suggestions of beautiful first names that flow well with the middle name Candace? Thanks :)

Cassandra flows better, IMO.

Why would you make someone who already has a title or role a Godmother? It's a little redundant.

I don't think the name flows well. I didn't like the name Cassia, but after saying it out loud a few times, it's not so bad.

Not sure what you mean by that part, SO's sister is going to be the godmother of our daughter. She is not the godmother of our son.

I mean, she is the Aunt already, why would you make her the Godmother. It's unnecessary, unless you're very Religious and she will be the Sponsor at your Child's baptism.

I kinda have to agree with Crystal on the aunt being the godmother. My kids call their godmother "aunt" and godfather "uncle" but they aren't related.

Cassia is an okay name (if I'm saying it right...cass-ee-ah).

Yes, we are religious and that is the reason for making her my child's Godmother. I wouldn't name somebody the Godparent of my child just to give somebody other than an aunt or uncle a "role" in my child's life, kwim?

I do know what you mean. These days almost nobody understands what a Godparent is anymore.

I like Cassia. How are you pronouncing it? It probably wouldn't be bad if there was another middle name between it and Cassia.

I was thinking the same thing about adding a name between the two! Any suggestions? I know it's traditionally pronounced "cash-uh," which I think is pretty.

Cassia is pretty when said the way its spelled, I'm not a huge fan of the traditional pronunciation though. It will be easily mispronounced :?
