He can try prunes, you don't have to give him a lot. For the other stuff he isn't taking to, just keep offering like once a week or so. Some tastes take some getting used to. Plus there are jarred purees you can buy that are made organically, still well under $1 per jar with no preservatives added. Just to have for back up, ya know. Always check your labels!

m afraid he'll choke on stuff thats not pureed :( even if its a banana. the pedi gave us the ok to start puree at 4 months and hes almost 6 months now.

Bananas aren't so bad, I dice them in 4.. babes usually squishes them all up trying to grab them at first anyways... self-purreed! I was hesitant too, but I gave Cheerios at 7 months, started other table foods then. They may gag, but that is not choking, that is learning to eat!

does Lo have to be able to sit up on his own? hes got good control for the most part if hes in a chair, he just tends to lean forward a lot.

yes, he should be able to sit up, grab, and put in his mouth.
