Hello Ladies!

This morning, my son came up to me screaming "Hurts momma!" I had no idea what he was talking about. I asked but he wouldn't tell me. (He's one) Anyway, I laid him down to changed his diaper and I noticed this big ugly bubble on his thigh. He yells that it hurts when I touch it and he doesn't like to walk because of that. Do any of yall know what this is??? Im thinking about taking him in to check it out. His doctor is out this week so all I have is the ER. Does it look like it was done by a bug? Im really worrying.

It looks kind of like an abscess. The best way to get it to drain is to use warm compresses and keep it clean with a little Neosporin on it.

IS the area around it swollen? I cant tell in the pic. But I would take him in just to be on the safe side and have it taken care of.

Looks like some sort of bug bite, i would guess ant, personally I would have it looked at. My son got stung a few weeks back, and a huge blister formed and his whole leg got swollen. Come to find out, he is actually allergic to what stung him. We just dont know what it was that stung him.

No, it's not swollen.

It looks like a burn blister but I've seen spider bites that look like that too. Do you see any holes that indicate he was bitten?

I would take him to urgent care.

The first thing I thought was that it looked like a burn blister. But theres no way he could've gotten burned between the time he went to bed and woke up. I couldn't find any holes.

Have the ER take a look at it. I thought it was a burn blister myself but it can be anything. Give us an update when you return please.

It could be staph infection. I would call his doctor and see if they can get him in today.
