Quoting Jeeper:" I just literally dealt with this with my 10 month old. She wanted to suck on my b**bs nonstop and not ... [snip!] ... her pacifier though and eventually she got the hint. Also she will only take the gumdrop pacifiers and the soothie ones."

Are the gumdrop ones you see at the hospitals? Ugh I cant wait until this phase passes. How long did it take for your DD to get over this?

The gumdrop ones and the soothie ones are the only ones I have ever seen handed out in the hospitals. 10-4501-01.jpgThis is a gumdrop pacifier.

She got out of it after a few weeks. She started taking her pacifier again and started leaving my b**bs alone. I think she was going through a growth spurt because she grew 2 inches in 2 weeks.

i go thru this with my three month old except with a bottle instead of b**b. his doctor says its because he is a comfort sucker. maybe its the same with youre little one. also there are days where it feels like all he does is eat. and im stuck making bottles, all day . so i understand where yoyre coming from. maybe a combination of growth spurt/being a comfort sucker.
oh, is youre L.O teething?

Quoting *A&N's Mama*:" My 6 month old is a bf baby. She was a generally good sleeper (still would wake twice a night for feedings). ... [snip!] ... why Im cranky as f**k either. Please someone how can I break her from this habit?! I refuse to become her personal pacifier"

I know it's hard. I deal with this type of thing all the time! But just remember, pacifiers were meant to mimic your breast. So you aren't a pacifier, your baby is using the breast as it is intended (to soothe). This will pass soon.
