BD told DS#1 he would be here when he got home from school and I have yet to hear from him today. He's got an hour left to get here. I'm so pissed he would tell DS that, how do I explain to my 3 1/2 year old why his dada didn't show up?

He is very flaky and has a habit of not showing up. He actually just came back from a 7 month absence. I do feel like it was a bad decision on my part but I can't change it now.

It's not your fault he's a d**k! Don't blame yourself. Just give LO a big hug and distract him with something.

If he has this sort of history, I would honestly not tell my son when he's coming and just make it be a surprise! daddy's here to see you! kinda thing.

That's what I always do.

He was over last night and came in while I was brushing DS's teeth and told him he would see him today after school. I'm super pissed at him for it, I didn't get a chance to talk to him about it because I had to finish DS's bedtime stuff and BD's ride got here before I was done.
