Getting toddler to drink more water lynn 2011 1 child; Tennessee 123 posts

I think this has been asked before, I'm just to exhausted to search. My DD will sometimes drink milk and loves juice (slightly watered down), but will not drink plain water. Is there something that I can get to put in the water to give it a little flavor. Something kind of like Mio or Crystal light, but baby-friendly. My mom says you can use the Crystal Light powders, but I don't want her having the artificial sweeteners. Any advice is appreciated.

How about just adding a drop or two of food coloring? Like make her water pink and say it is princess water. I've colored my boys' water before and they loved it! I have 3 boys so I would dye 3 bottles of water different colors. They picked which color they liked best and it helped them keep up with their own water. They also really liked drinking bottled water but not fans of drinking it out of a cup.

This! DS will drink out of water bottles with a straw, but he won't drink water out of his own cups.

Soak lemons, grapefruit, cucumber, lime etc in the water over night and "infuse" it with flavor without taking away the benefits of it!

This is what I do. Or all squeeze an orange slice or a strawberry in the water if I need it quick.
