Goats milk *Call Me MOM* 8 kids; Minnesota 11817 posts

My sister has been supplementing purely off of my breastmilk that I had pumped and saved for my last baby... I had so much milk so when she was noticing her supply dropping she started supplementing with my milk .. Well her supply is still low despite her hard efforts to increase her supply .. I gave her the boobie milk I had. Well she does not want to supplement with formula at all!!!

I was on fb and saw a mommy site and a post about goats milk .. And how it is the closest thing to human breast milk (I hope that's true) anyways some of the moms said they used it while continuing to breastfeed so they didn't have to use formula ..

My question is what kind of goats milk does she buy?

She has been searching alllll friggin morning for goats milk!

Any help would be awesome!!!! Thanks ladies!!!

My old neighbors used it for their daughter cause all the stomach issues she had to formula. They treated with a natropath doctor who suggested it. Maybe try to call a local natropath and ask where to buy it?? I have no idea. Good luck to her and the baby though!!!!

I have told her about it she isn't interested because she is afraid that the milk may be tainted lol I told her not many moms would be so evil to share tainted milk

She is a really over anxious new mom..

its a lot of work to keep your supply up and pump like that I don't think anyone would go through all that trouble for nothing Or to hurt someone else's kid. It's awesome that she has allowed you to help her supplement most people wouldn't even try that. best of luck with the transition to go to the goats milk I hope it works :)

Its true that goats milk is the closest thing to breast milk.
I worked for a raw food specialist for a long time and she always was talking about it..
Also, Almond milk is suppose to be super good too. Not sure as a supplement for breast milk though.

Well I'm glad that the goats milk thing is true!!! Almond milk I know is better than soy but not to be used as a supplement .. Not enough fat I think
