I think it's shitty the waitress lost her job :? Poor judgement at the time... but not worth losing her job over.

Well lesson learned to her to not do dumb crap at work. The ONLY reason she lost her job is because of her own stupid actions that resulted in it.

She was only fired because he made a big deal out of it. Which was silly to make a big deal about. He took a kid to a bar that doesn't usually serve children. Or, anyone under 21 for that matter. I feel like he left out more than what really happened. Ordering an extra chicken leg would not constitute 'needy freaking kid' to be on the receipt.

Pretty much. You don't disrespect a customer's CHILD and think you're going to get away with it. I don't care what type of establishment it is, have some respect.
She deserved to get fired. She should be more careful next time. What an idiot.

No again the only reason she was fired was because of her own actions which constituted the father to be offended. While agian i agree its not the place to take a child, he DID call ahead and was given the go ahead to bring his son. If she would have kept her comments to herself or at the very least off the receipt she would still have her job. plain and simple the blame is only hers to take.

So talking shit about customers isn't something to be fired over? Uh what? Customer service dear. Can't deal with em, get a new job. Talking about them after they leave is one thing but direct insults to their child? That's a no go.

The waitress would have had a glass of water on her head. And I most certainly would not tip. It sounds like the kid was very well behaved and just wanted some food to eat. The waitress is a b***h for even commenting on it in general, and clearly dumb as hell if she thought the parent of that child would also find it funny.



As for the manager...idk. He has the right to run his business as he pleases, but I'm not sure why he'd defend the waitress. I'd be mad at her for costing me business.

If this guy came in with his kid being an a*****e I'm sure the manager would have given his side of the story too. If she didn't do anything wrong in her employer's eyes I don't see why they would have fired her.



Where does it say she was fired? I thought it said he just "reprimanded" her.
