Quoting loser mom:" Of course I would. I would make a complaint to the manager, then I would drop it. And never go back. :)"

He made a post on FB then it went viral, that is why it is getting the attention it is. I would have made a post on FB too.

Insulting someone's child isn't acceptable under any circumstances.

I have to agree. I think it was appropriate for her to lose her job.

lol and it said she was just in a hurry and forgot to take it off. So they all knew it was inappropriate. She just sounds like a bitch.

If she cared about her job she wouldn't have called a customer's kid "fucking needy." :?

Venting to a coworker about an annoying kid and calling the kid out to the parent are two very different things.

Oh, I didn't know she got fired. I agree, though.

Eh, I was talking about adult customers as I was responding to Sam. I've worked in customer service and I've dealt with some assholes. I'd discuss it with co workers but not in front of them. Not because I think it's rude but I'm not stupid enough to speak badly about someone in front of their face when I'm at work because I know it could cost me my job.

Customers get offended daily. Employees aren't expected to bow down and kiss your feet -- no establishment can pay me enough to do THAT.

I still think the dude overreacted. Yes he called ahead... maybe he only spoke to one person? Maybe the servers had NO idea a kid was coming? Maybe she had no other choice but to take the table because everyone else was busy? Maybe the kid was acting a damn fool the entire time? There are so many factors.

It wasn't a direct insult -- at least wasn't meant to be. She didn't straight up say like, "Your kid is an asshole. I sincerely hate serving this table right now." She made a mistake and forgot to erase something off a ticket. Something that the dude never would've known about if she hadn't of slipped up. She made a mistake... big deal.

I saw that earlier and it is messed up, I'd have a freaking fit. I always tip and this is one circumstance where, I'd write FUCK YOU on the tip line.
I thought it was funny people were shaming the Dad for taking his kid to a Bar and GRILL. As if he took his kid clubbin' or something.
It's just like Chili's FFS.

I think you have a skewed outlook on customer service because yes, you are suppose to kiss their ass. Especially when your income depends on it. You kill them with kindness regardless of how shitty they may act. In this case, the guy wanted an extra chicken leg. Ooh. Such an asshole he is.

Then she should have gone to her manager. If the place doesn't allow anyone under 21 and there's a kid at her table shouldn't she be doing something about that? lol. She just served him without checking into it? That's her fault in the first place then. And I wouldn't say refraining from calling someone's child "fucking needy" is bowing down and kissing their feet.
