I've been promoted twice within a year of working there, and gotten almost $2 worth of raises.... in a year. I think I'm okay

I know my limit. But like I just said.... I won't let someone walk all over me. I'm not becoming inhuman for a pay check. I don't cop an attitude with absolutely everyone... but I DO put my foot down.

I said if you get a new job. Wherever you are working now clearly doesn't care much about customer service.

Okay I am not going to lie, there was one time where I treated a customer poorly it was a man and his two kids, they came in, and the whole time was SOOOOO mean to his little girl, calling her names and so forth. I was appalled. I went and took their order, asked the dad first, then the son then went to ask the daughter and he says before she could even answer " she will just have pancakes" okay whatever. So I bring out the food, and tell the little girl to be carefull because the food was hot still. He says, were in a hurry looks at her and tells her to eat it now...so she does and she was already close to tears, adn while the food was not HOT HOT it was hot enough that she was uncomfortable and started to cry. He takes her plate and takes her into the hall where everyone can still see him and starts smacking her butt over and over :( I went and got my boss and told him what was going on, and as loud as I could told the man he disgusted me and I hope he got his daughter taken from him. My boss told him to leave and never come back.

Where in KY do you live? If you're far enough north.... you know the company (it's a NKY/Cincinnati chain). UDF. It's primarily an ice cream shop. But they added on a convenience store and gas pumps because it brings in more money

Probably one of the weirdest things to outsiders (we get a lot of people who pass by and are like.... omg, you serve ice cream in here? lol). But it's normal to me :) It's like a Coldstone.... with cigarettes, beer, chips, and gas

OHHH and he also on the way back to the table told her to shut the hell up and pushed her into the table. And wouldnt let her finish her food. Also my boss called the cops on the man because he felt he was abusing this child, as did I and everyone else in teh place.

Poor kid. I wouldn't have been able to be nice to him either.

We have AWESOME customers who stay regulars because they love the employees. I'm friends with a lot of them.... I seriously adore my regulars. Just because I have the ability to be a b***h and kick someone out... doesn't mean I'm like that 24/7. I'm an assistant manager, I do A LOT for the store and customers.

Since when is NOT bowing down and kissing a Customers feet part of the job? Have any of you ever taken a Hospitality Course? Anyone who has would know that is exactly how you should act. Even if they're a*****es, they pay your bills.
