"She didn't mean to offend the gentleman and his son. She had a good experience with them as customers," manager Denny Domachowski told CNN.
"She was just in a hurry and forgot to take that off," he added.

I'd be pissed too. But am I going to yell at the child or their parent? Or write insults on their receipts? Nope. Am I going to vent when I get home and call them every name in the book? Probably.

I get away with a lot at work..... As does pretty much everyone else. If a customer is wrong, I do say they were wrong and they told me they wanted x, not y. I end up fixing their mistake, but I let them know what they told me. -shrug- Different companies/rules, I guess?

It says in the article that the kid wasn't acting up. She's just a lazy bitch who was whining about having to make the extra effort to please her customers.

That's probably it. I use to work as a leasing consultant while i was in nursing school and if my customer service sucked, I would have been fired.

If a waitress tried to correct me, I wouldn't take kindly to that. If I made a mistake fine. Stfu about it and fix it. There should never be any room for arguing between a customer and an employee.

I would say you are treading on thin ice and if you get a new job, you better really watch yourself if you're in the habit of all that.

Lawwwwd we argue with customers on a daily basis LOL. They want to call us a liar when we tell them we have to do something a certain way.... so I'm like, "Uhh.. I'm not lying. And I'm refusing this sale. Leave."

Okay not really, because I'm a weenie. But I'm allowed to tell someone to leave if they try to pick an argument or get pissy with me. Obviously it works different in a restaurant setting... because you can't just make someone get up in the middle of a meal and leave lol. I'm extremely nice and I do a lot of things without being asked by the customers.... but I won't be talked down to or walked all over just because they're a customer.

I've been promoted twice within a year of working there, and gotten almost $2 worth of raises.... in a year. I think I'm okay

I know my limit. But like I just said.... I won't let someone walk all over me. I'm not becoming inhuman for a pay check. I don't cop an attitude with absolutely everyone... but I DO put my foot down.

I said if you get a new job. Wherever you are working now clearly doesn't care much about customer service.

Okay I am not going to lie, there was one time where I treated a customer poorly it was a man and his two kids, they came in, and the whole time was SOOOOO mean to his little girl, calling her names and so forth. I was appalled. I went and took their order, asked the dad first, then the son then went to ask the daughter and he says before she could even answer " she will just have pancakes" okay whatever. So I bring out the food, and tell the little girl to be carefull because the food was hot still. He says, were in a hurry looks at her and tells her to eat it now...so she does and she was already close to tears, adn while the food was not HOT HOT it was hot enough that she was uncomfortable and started to cry. He takes her plate and takes her into the hall where everyone can still see him and starts smacking her butt over and over :( I went and got my boss and told him what was going on, and as loud as I could told the man he disgusted me and I hope he got his daughter taken from him. My boss told him to leave and never come back.

Where in KY do you live? If you're far enough north.... you know the company (it's a NKY/Cincinnati chain). UDF. It's primarily an ice cream shop. But they added on a convenience store and gas pumps because it brings in more money

Probably one of the weirdest things to outsiders (we get a lot of people who pass by and are like.... omg, you serve ice cream in here? lol). But it's normal to me :) It's like a Coldstone.... with cigarettes, beer, chips, and gas

OHHH and he also on the way back to the table told her to shut the hell up and pushed her into the table. And wouldnt let her finish her food. Also my boss called the cops on the man because he felt he was abusing this child, as did I and everyone else in teh place.
