At what age did your children stop taking naps? I have a 3y/o [4 in September] and a 1y/o[2 in August]. Its easier to get my younger one to nap, but my oldest I fight with her for up to 2hrs to take a nap.
My kids are 3 and 4 and still need nap.
I'd say if your 3 year old is fighting it that much, they're either overtired or they just don't need that nap. Maybe try moving nap-time up?
My older two(3 1/2 and 7) stopped napping a little bit after they turned 3. Its hit or miss with my 17 month old but then again he doesn't really sleep anyway.
Mine stopped right before turning 2. He takes a nap maybe once every 3 months out of the blue.. it is very rare lol
I would just let her actions decide. If she is acting tired or you've been having a busy day, then I would put her down for one. If she seems fine then let her go without one. My friend has a 3 yr old and naps are hit and miss with him. Some days he really needs them, and other days he's completely fine without them.
My oldest took naps until he was 3 or 4 years old. Both of my girls quit taking naps when they were about 2 years old. None of my kids will nap anymore at all unless they are sick.
My 6.5 year old still takes naps on the weekends (no time after school or I'd make him them too). He needs extra sleep or he's a total bear. My 8-yo stopped around age 5 I think. Stepson just turned 3 and he still naps every day and will for quite some time. Bedtime is 8 - 8:30 for the 3-yo and 8:30 - 9 for the older boys. (9:30/10 in the summer for the older ones)
