<blockquote><b>Quoting crazy coupon lady:</b>" I have this in my house too. I have 3 kids only 2 of which get sugar treats, lo is 16 months a freezie ... OT but why do some people say pop and others say soda???

He's too lazy to follow any type of rule system lol. If he doesn't have the common sense to know that constant, pure sugar is not good for a 1 year old, I don't see that working - although that will probably work for the boys when they get older.

Sweet jesus. lol.
I'd talk to him about it. Work together to set some ground-rules.

In our house the kids get to choose two treats a day. We have a box in our cupboard, and any candy they get goes into the box. Unless it's a special treat from Grandma or something. After lunch and dinner, they get to pick ONE treat from the box if they ate all of or enough of their meal. If they're hungry between meals, they can choose something healthy. Carrots, a banana, oranges, goldfish....ect.

Depends on the part of the US they're from. I'm from NY and I say soda but I think the midwest calls it pop? Or the south?
