I was looking at a debate on another website and people were debating on how long it takes for HIV to show up positive on a test?

Everything I've read says it's detectable 3 months after exposure. What was the debate saying as far as when it's detectable?

Am I dense? I thought her question was pretty straightforward. Or did I miss something?

I had to be tested for it 2 years ago along with the HEP C test because I was showing all symptoms? Whatever they are... the doctor who was questioning me said 6 weeks to 6 months... it turned out it was Mono... so I was of course dying of a panic attack for 2 weeks until I got my results...

this one says 9 days to 3-6 months... even thought that doesnt really makes sense lol... i guess it depends on your body and how rapidly its spreading... kind of like cancer, it all does different things to us. Like we had a good friend of the family who lived with it for over 10 years, then my uncles partner died after 2 years of finding it and he got tested every 6 months to a year.

I always wondered if you sleot with someone who was HIV positive and went to the doctor immediately afterwards if there was anything they could do.
