What sort of mental issue Supafly★ 2 kids; Poland 14109 posts

Causes kids to poop in their pants even after they are potty trained? I heard of kids with ADHD doing it but DS hasn't been diagnosed with anything. He's slightly delayed but I don't think his delay has anything to do with it. He was going poop and pee completely by himself and then now we're at square one again.

He's been pee-trained for about a year and never has had one pee accident, ever. I just don't understand how he could forget how to poop in the toilet. :?

mabe he just didn't want to. i didn't know there had to be a mental issue to have an accident.

Stress. Abuse. Adjusting to Changes. Constipation. Laziness. Scared of potty.

It could just be a regression.

Then again, it could just be normal behavior too. All sorts of kids go backwards when there are other stress's or things they are learning.

I don't think it's physical because he's done it before. What kid wants to walk around with poop in his underwear?

No stress, abuse, change, or constipation. Pees perfectly fine in the potty. It may be laziness I guess but....the bathroom is maybe 200 feet away at the furthest point.

He's supposed to start pre-k in September. They're going to kick him out. :? I'm not staying home another year because the kid doesn't give a f**k. I just explained that he can't go to school if he doesn't poop on the potty and he's like "I want to go to school!" so maybe that will give him a push.

I don't think they can discriminate against that. But if it works as leverage... :D lol
